Design and Development of custom furniture for a new Eightysix restaurant.
Eightysix is inspired by contemporary Australian residential architecture the restaurant brings its own unique style to dining. With a modern dining room and an open kitchen, Eightysix dishes up modern Australian sharing plates via a la carte and tasting menus.
Challenge
Make a connection between the work of the architects, the Eightysix team and the design identity from Swell Design Group to design a custom barstool to support the open kitchen layout.
Solution
We developed the Eightysix stool by responding to the material palette and specific audience needs. This created a cohesive environment bridging the gap between furniture and its surrounding architectural details.
