SKETCHING PROCESS is targeted at anyone with an interest in art, design or simply an insight into contemporary design-thinking.
“The book is an instructional and inspirational guide to developing hand-drawing skills, from basic principles through to advanced techniques,” says Skeehan.
Skeehan has been involved in teaching design drawing throughout his career. Lecturing at the University of Canberra and regularly hosting drawing classes at his studio. It is through these experiences that he realized there was a need for a design-drawing book from an Australian perspective. “We have focused on leading Australian designers and their sketching processes. To me that is at the heart of the project,” “Each designer focuses on their areas of specialty – everything from furniture, lighting, product design, fashion, automotive, styling, architecture and typography,” explains Skeehan.
